A blend of 70% Monastrell (Mourvedre) and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon. Bodegas El Nido is the result of the combined dream of several wine industry professionals including Bodegas Juan Gil (Gil Vera family), Jorge Ordonez (leading Spanish wine importer in the US), and Chris Ringland (one of Australia's top enologists). They started in 2001 and have quickly earned the admiration and enthusiasm of consumers around the world. Bodegas El Nido is located in Paraje de la Aragona, a little over 6 miles north of Jumilla. Their wines are a result of their strong belief that the soil, climate and the Monastrell grape from Jumilla could be the foundation of wine with exceptional personality and quality. Jumilla, Spain
